George A. Stewart was a physician in Brooksburg. He was the son of David and Mary Poston Stewart, born 18 March 1864, died 20 December 1910. He married the first time to Carrie Thacker 5 November 1893 in Jefferson Co., Indiana and they had a son Harold born January 1895 and Paul who died in 1896. Carrie Thacker Stewart was born 21 December 1865, and died 15 March 1896.

George Stewart's second marriage was on 9 May 1901 to Mary K. Lawder, daughter of Brooksburg physician William E. Lawder and his wife Mary A._______.

Mary K. Lawder Stewart was born in October of 1873. (per 1900 Milton Township census) She and George had the following children:

1.	Lawder Stewart (pictured) who married Mollie Wachborn (per the memory of cousin Lena Stewart).
2.	Nida Stewart (pictured) who married first Nigil McKenna and secondly Jess Kruse. (per Lena Stewart)
