John David Pavy, and wife Jane Antonet Griffith
John David Pavy, 1846-1922, born and died in Jefferson Co., IN. He was the son of Absalom Pavy and wife Elizabeth Danner who were married 1845 in Jefferson Co., IN. John David Pavy was a private in Co. A 120th Regiment Indiana Infantry Volunteers, Civil War. Prisoner of War records show that he was captured at Calhoune, GA in August 1864 and paroled at Savannah, GA in November 1864. John David Pavy was a carpenter, farmer, and Justice of Peace in Switzerland Co., IN.
Jane Antonet Griffith, 1853-1913, born and died Switzerland Co., IN. She was the daughter of William Jackson Griffith and wife Lavina Long. John David Pavy and Jane Antonet Pavy were married 1871 in Switzerland Co., IN. Both are now buried in the Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, IN. They had eleven children. One daughter Arabelle, 1886-1891, is buried at Zion Chapel
