Benjamin Stewart & Gracie Mansfield

Benjamin A. Stewart, son of Isaiah Stewart and Mary Jane Benefiel, b. 20 Jan. 1840, was a Corporal in the Union Army, 82nd Indiana Infantry. Married to Anna Gans 19 Dec. 1868 in Jefferson Co., IN., had issue: Gertrude, Charles S., James E. Stewart. They moved to Rush Co., IN. and he was buried there after his death in 1917. Next to him in this photo is his granddaughter, Gracie D. Mansfield, age 6 years. Photo taken circa 1903.
