Andrew Anderson BibleThe Anderson Bible belonged to Andrew Anderson, who was born at Bathgate Linlithgow, Scotland, according to his tombstone in Caledonia Cemetery. (The published transcription truncates that to Linitgo.) He died March 16, 1848, age 67. He married another Scottish native, Catherine Cuddie, mentioned in this list, although where and when has not been relayed to me. However, the marriage must have occurred in the United States because she supposedly came to the United States in 1813. After his death, Catherine married on Jan. 3 1856, Daniel Miller, (whose first wife Agnes Allen is buried in the Pleasant Cem.), another Scotsman. The Andersons live in Milton Township. The Bible was recently discovered (2002) in a descendant’s attic in preparation to a sale of the property. The transcription below is by Mary Scott. Robert Scott, April 2002] The front page of the Bible lists it as being a Fifth Edition. It also contains the following information about the publisher.
