Mathis Graveyard Shelby Township Section 30 Twp. 5N Range 12E by Bob W. Scott This cemetery had no stones standing in the 1970s. A couple were lying down in the middle of a pasture. The transcription of dates and notes regarding James Suggan are per the John Paul DAR transcriptions of the 1940s. This cemetery is on the north side of Scotts Ridge Road, east of the former Amish School House. Mathis, Elizabeth, w of N. Mathis, d Feb. 24, 1879, age 39 yrs Mathis, Lucy, dau of N. & N. Mathis, Nov. 20, 1859-Oct. 5, 1877 Mathis, John s of N & N (no stone remains) Mathis, John, Jan. 18, 786-Marc. 27, 1862 Mathis, Priscilla, w of John Mathis, Feb. 16, 1786-Sept. 22, 1835.
