The John Paul DAR transcriptions describe this as "On Hillis farm, north of Hicks." The Jefferson County road map shows this cemetery by name in the NW1/4 Section 1, just south of the Ripley Co. line. It is just west of Black branch.

Mermoud Graveyard Directions & Additions, by Jackie Owen:Take 62 East out of Canaan, go about 2 miles to bottom of Warfield Hill, turn left onto Barbersville Creek Road (don't take the Barbersville Rd. just outside of Canaan-keep going). Turn right on 1st road (Hicks Ridge Road). The graveyard is about 3 or 4 miles on the right on the property of Ed Lemen, 11926 N. Hicks Ridge Road. It's behind his house, you can't see the cemetery from the road.
