The DAR transcriptions list this as being on Kuppler’s farm. It is located on Polk Road. This cemetery was in part of a small Scottish settlement whose members lived in Republican, Hanover, and Smyrna Townships. Other members of this immigrant group are buried at the Hanover Cem. and the Carmel Presbyterian Church Cem. James Park, a native of Dumfrieshire, registered as an alien in Jefferson Co. in 1820. The obituary of William Wilson in 1885 says he, William and Andrew McKean and Thomas Shaw came from the same general area of Scotland.

Wilson married Mary Park a daughter of Alexander Park, who came to the U.S. in 1818 from Dumfrieshire. It is not known of there was a connection between these Scottish families and the Scottish settlement in eastern Jefferson Co. Adam McKeand and his mother Margaret Welch McKeand McMillan were from that settlement. She was the widow of Adam McKeand Sr.
