This Indenture made this 14th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six. Between David Vawter and Lucinda Vawter his wife of the first part, and Milton Stapp of the second part, Witnesseth, that the said party of the Second part for and in consideration of the sum of Six thousand dollars Lawful money of the United States to them in hand well and truly paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged ha [sic has] granted bargained sold aliened released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien release convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever the undivided half of a fraction of the South East quarter of section thirty four Township four, north of Range ten east, Bounded as follows towit. Beginning at the north east Corner of said quarter section, running thence west with the line dividing said quarter Section from the north east quarter of said Section, to Wilbers line of a tract purchased by said Wilbur of said Vawter, thence a southward cource with said line to the south east corner of said tract, thence Westward with the south line of said tract sixty five poles [1072.5'] to John McIntires line fifty poles [825'] East of the West line of said quarter section, thence south with said McIntires line to a corner of John McIntires twenty four acre tract the corner on the south side of Crooked Creek, thence east with the north line of said 24 acre tract tract to a point four poles [66'] south of Stapp & Laniers corner, (which is the north West corner of a ten acre tract sold by Philomon Vawter to John Vawter,[ ) ] thence south four poles [66'] to said corner, thence east with Stapp & Laniers line being the north line of said ten acre tract forty poles [660'] to the line dividing section thirty four from section thirty five, thence north one hundred & twenty poles [1980'] to the place of beginning - And all the estate right title interest claim and demand of them the said party of the first part, of in and to the said premises and every part thereof: Together with all and singular the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the rents issues and profits thereof: To have and to hold the premises hereby bargained and sold or meant or intended So to be with the appurtenances to the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever and the said party of the first part his heirs executors and administrators do Covenant promise and agree to with the said party of the second part his heirs executors administrators and assigns that they are the true and Lawful owners of the premises hereby granted and have good right full power and Lawful authority to sell and Convey the same in manner and form aforesaid, and further that they the said party of the Second part their heirs executors and administrators will warrant and forever defend the aforesaid premises with their appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof unto the said party of the second part, his heirs and assigns against all persons claiming and to claim by from or under them or any of them or by from or under any other person or persons whomsoever --
In Witness whereof the said David Vawter together with Lucinda Vawter his wife of the said David Vawter who hereby freely relinquishes all her right and claim of dower in and to the premises have here unto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written

The State of Indiana Jefferson County SS. Before me William Hendricks Jr. a Notary Public within and for said County personally appeared David Vawter the above named grantor, together with Lucinda Vawter the wife of the said David Vawter and acknowledged the above deed of Conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned, and the said Lucinda Vawter wife of the said David Vawter, being by me examined Separate and apart from her husband, and the Contents of said deed being by me fully read and explained to her, She did declare to me that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord and as her act and deed sign seal and deliver the said deed of Conveyance to the said Milton Stapp without any coercion or compulsion from her said husband

David & Lucinda Vawter to William & Cornelius Fellows

This Indenture made this twenty sixth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty seven Between David Vawter & Lucinda Vawter his wife of the first part, and William Fellows and Cornelius Fellows of the City of Louisville Kentucky of the second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the first part, for and in Consideration of the sum of fifty seven hundred and fifty dollars Lawful money of the United States to them in hand well and truely paid by the said party of the Second part the receipt whereof is herby acknowledged have granted bargained Sold aliened released Conveyed and Confirmed, and by these presents do grant bargain sell alien release Convey and Confirm unto the Said party of the second part their heirs and assigns forever -- The undivided half of a fraction of the south east quarter of Section thirty four Township four north of Range ten East, bounded as follows towit, Beginning at the north east corner of said quarter Section, running thence west with the open line dividing the south east from the north east quarter of said section thirty four) to Wilbers line of a tract purchased by said Wilber of said Vawter. Thence a southward course with said line to the south east corner of said last mentioned tract. Thence a westward course with the south line of said last mentioned tract sixty five poles to John McIntires line (fifty poles east of the west line of said quarter section: Thence south with John McIntires line to a corner on the south bank of Crooked Creek, being the north west Corner of McIntires twenty four acre tract, Thence an eastward course with the north line of said twenty four acre tract to the north east Corner of the same being four poles south of the north west Corner of a tract of land belonging to Milton Stapp & J.F.D. Lanier   Thence south four poles to said last mentioned corner, thence east with the north line of Stapp & Lanier's tract forty poles to the line deviding Sections thirty four and thirty five thence north with Said line one hundred & twenty poles to the place of beginning -- and all the estate right title interest claim and demand of them the said party of the first part of in and to the said premises and every part thereof Together with all and singular the premises and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining. And the rents issues and profits thereof: To have and to hold the premises hereby bargained and sold or meant or intended so to be with the appurtenances to the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part their heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for themselves their heirs executors and administrators do promise Covenant and agree to and with the said party of the second part their heirs executors and assigns that they are the true and Lawful owners of the premises hereby granted and have good right full power and Lawful authority to Sell and Convey the same in manner and form aforesaid - and futher that they the said party of the first part their heirs executors and administrators will warrant and forever defend the aforesaid premises with their appurtenances and every part and parcel thereof unto the said party of the second part their heirs and assign against all persons claiming or to claim by from or under them or any of them or by from or under any other person or persons whomsoever --
In Witness whereof the said David Vawter together with Lucinda Vawter his wife who hereby relinquishes her right of Dower in the premises have hereunto Set their hands and seals the day and year first above written --

The State of Indiana Jefferson County SS. Before me William Hendricks Jr Notary Public within and for said County personally appeared David Vawter by Milton Stapp his attorney in fact together with Lucinda Vawter his wife the within named grantors and acknowledged the above deed of Conveyance to be their voluntary act and deed for the uses and purposes therein mentioned . And the said Lucinda wife of the said David Vawter being examined Seperate and apart from her said husband and the Contents of said deed being made known and explained to her declares that she voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, without any fear or Coercion of her husband did and now doth acknowledge the signing and sealing thereof.
   In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 26th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and thirty seven.
