Dearborn county, in southeastern part of State, bounded by Ohio, Ripley and Franklin counties, with the State of Ohio on the east; formed in 1805 from part of Knox county, organized same year and named for General Henry Dearborn, secretary of state under President Jefferson; fertile soil, watered by tributaries of the Ohio, Miami and White Water rivers; surface generally level: population in 1910, 21,396, a decrease of 798 over 1900.

Dillsboro, town, population in 1910, 425; 14 miles southwest of Lawrenceburg, on the B. & O. S. W. steam road; 3 rural mail routes; U. S. express; Western Union telegraph; Bell and Independent telephones; weekly newspaper; 1 public school employing 3 teachers, 2 parochial schools. 4 churches, 8 lodges, national bank and state bank, carriage and wagon factory, flour and grist mill, and saw mill; 4 physicians, 2 physicians, veterinary surgeon and 3 lawyers; 4 dry goods, 5 grocery, 2 implement, drug, jewelry and 2 hardware stores; harness shop. 4 shoe, stationery, millinery and furniture store, undertaking establishment, clothing and gents' furnishings, wall paper and paint and 3 confectionery stores; 2 livery stables, 2 hotels, 3 restaurants, 2 barber shops and 2 butcher shops; no saloons.

MOORE;S HILL.
Moore’s Hill, town, population in 1910, 424: west of Lawrenceburg, on the B. & O. S. W. steam road; mail routes; U. S. express; Western Union telegraph; Independent telephone; weekly newspaper; public school employing 3 teachers, college, 2 churches, 6 lodges, state bank, building and loan association; business men's association, Y. M. C. A. and Y.W.C.A., saw mill and handle and mallet factory; 2 physicians; 2 dry and grocery, implement, drug, 2 hardware stores, harness shop, millinery store, undertaking establishment, confectionery, stable, hotel, 2 barber shops, 2 meat markets and a blacksmith no saloons.
ST. LEON
St. Leon, town, population in 1910, 261; 18 northwest of Lawrenceburg; 2 public schools.,2 Parochial schools, 2 churches, 2 saw mills; 2 general stores, undertaking establishment, 2 hotels and 2 saloons.
