MRS. SARAH ELIZABETH HALL
Hicks, Ind., Jan. 10, 1910.
Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Hall, daughter of Mr. Joseph H. Lochard and Mrs. Nancy K. Lochard, deceased, was born at Manville, Jefferson county, Ind., May 5, 1841. At the age of eighteen she was united in marriage to Christan Hall, aged twenty-three years, who preceeded her to the grave some thirty-five years ago. To this union two children were born. Mr. Solomon L. Hall, who still survives her, and Mrs. Clara E. Buchanan, deceased. Her death occurred from neuralgia of the heart and stomach, living only about eighteen hours after sickness attacked her. She died Dec. 20, 1909, at the age of sixty-eight years, seven months, fifteen days. She is survived by one half-brother, Mr. Cyrus Lochard, and one son, Mr. Solomon L. Hall, with many other relatives and friends to mourn her loss. About four years ago she united with the Hick's Regular Baptist church, of which she continued a consistent member until death. She was a good member of the church and a kind neighber to all around her. Her funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. Frank E. Hammel, at her home church at Hicks. The burial took place at the Canaan Cemetery, December 23, 1909, at 1 p.m.
The pall-bearers were: Mesdames Mae Weatherford and Zoe Buchanan; Misses Susie Spencer, Nevada Gordon, Lillie O'Neal, Hallie O'Neal.
